Problem:
Helium Explorer is showing relayed status.

Solution:
- Login to your router
- (ie., 192.168.1.100/192.168.0.1/)
- (ie., 192.168.1.100/192.168.0.1/)
- Locate DHCP Reservations/Servers, usually under Local Network
- Reserve the internal IP address of your helium miner and save.

- Reserve the internal IP address of your helium miner and save.
- Turn off UPnP
- If enabled, the router will assign a random port for the miner to connect through which is not what we want.

- If enabled, the router will assign a random port for the miner to connect through which is not what we want.
- Open Port 44158 via TCP / Inbound / External
- Port 44158 will need to be open to ensure the miner has healthy P2P connectivity and status.
- You can use ==> https://portchecker.co/ and type ‘44158’ after completing these steps to ensure the port is open.
- Ensure you are ‘PORT FORWARDING’ NOT ‘PORT TRIGGERING’.
- You may put in any name for the ‘Custom Service/Name‘ type.
- Ensure only ‘TCP‘ is selected.
- Ensure you selected the ‘Miners IP, let’s say 192.168.0.112‘ so it is open only on that internal IP.

- You will need to reboot in the following order to ensure the settings have been applied.
- Unplug everything (Modem, Router, Miner)
- Plug everything back in the following order.
- Modem ==> Wait until fully online to move to step 2.
- Router ==> Wait until fully online to move to step 3.
- Helium Miner
Congratulations, you should be be out of ‘Relayed Status‘ in a few hours due to Helium Explorer API not updating fast enough, do not worry, just keep checking every few hours.
Please note:
In Step 1 and Step 4, Helium Miners have 2 MAC-ID’s, one is for Wi-Fi connections, the other is for Ethernet connections.
If you are plugged in VIA Ethernet, you will port forward connections for the Helium Miner based on Ethernet only.
If you are connected VIA Wi-Fi, you will port forward connections for the Helium Miner based on Wi-Fi only.
